Moments ago, Sophia Paraskeva and Alex Michael concluded the first part of the draw for the running order of the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The producers will tonight decided upon the exact final running order. Sophia Paraskeva and Alex Michael will also host the contest on the 22nd of November. Cyprus was lucky enough to draw the 15th and last spot, while the Romanian contestant will open the show.

For the spots 2 to 5, Armenia, Belarus, Greece and Russia are in the running. Belgium, Bulgaria, Georgia and Serbia will take the positions 6 to 9. For the spots 10 to 14, FYR Macedonia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands and Ukraine are in the running.
The producers will decided tonight which country will take which exact place in the three groups each of the countries will take. The final running order will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon. It was also confirmed that Azerbaijan will not take part in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
