Popular singer and composer Arash is an author of the song to be performed at Eurovision 2009 by Azerbaijan’s representative Aysel Teymuradze. A song, entitled ‘Always’ was named the best at the final national competition, UKRINFORM reports quoting AZERTAG.

As the singer says his participation in the contest was conditioned by a desire to figure in the history of Eurovision of Azerbaijan. “Unfortunately, I did not keep up with the stages of the selection competition for a candidate to represent Azerbaijan. As I am not only an author and composer, I am a singer as well. I would really like to be on the stage, but not behind the contest,” the artist confessed.

Arash (Arash Labaf) is a popular singer in Europe, an author of hits in English and Persian. He now lives in Sweden but his roots come from Azerbaijan.
