Hera Björk is a big star in her original home country Iceland and has previously tried her luck in the Icelandic preselection, and was one of the backing singers who joined Eurobandid on stage in the 2008 Eurovision in Belgrade. Hera, living in Copenhagen, will now perform the entry &#8220;Someday&#8221; in the Danish national final 2009, to be aired on January the 31st.</p>
<div>The music of the song is composed by Jonas Gladnikoff, who has previously been the author of several national final entries around Europe, and the Danish songwriter Christina Schilling. The lyrics are by the Swedish songwriters Henrik Szabo and Daniel Nilsson.</div>
<div>Jonas Gladnikoff and Christina Schilling have been writing music together for a few years, and when they had finished the music for the song they contacted their friends Henrik Szabo and Daniel Nilsson to write the lyric, which resulted in the song Someday, a musical theatre inspired eurovision song about believing in yourself and in your dreams. In May 2008 the composers of the song met Hera Björk in Belgrade at the party of the Icelandic delegation, which resulted in a collaboration and eventually when the song was selected as one of the 10 entries in the Danish final, Hera was the number one choice of the songwriters to perform it.</div>
<div>&#8220;We are all very excited about the participation and we see the fact that we are a pan-Nordic coorportaion as a strenght for us.&#8221;</div>
<div>The team behind the song is without a doubt a team full of Eurovision veterans. No only have the four authors all previously been involved in the contest one way or another, but the final version of the song has been produced by one of the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1999, Lars &#8220;Dille&#8221; Diedricsson, and the vocals are produced by Danish Eurovision legend Søren Bundgaard of &#8216;Kirsten &amp; Søren&#8217;.</div>
<div>Two of the backing singers are also well-known faces.  Britta Bergström has previously been the backing singer in the Eurovision Song Contest together with Lena Philipsson and Kate Ryan, as well as a common face in the Swedish Melodifestivalen. Angela Holland has been the backing singer of Carola on all her most recent tours, an is  just like Britta a frequent backing vocalist in the Swedish preselection. The three other backing singers will be Camilla Gottschalk, Christina Schilling and Annika Holmberg.</p>
