The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) revealed today the final list of countries represented at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. EBU Members from 43 countries returned their participation forms.

BHRT, the national broadcaster of  Bosnia and Herzegovina have just announced their decision to send popular rock Regina to represent the country in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Bistra voda.
After a soulful ballad in 2007, an eccentric act in 2008, Bosnia and Herzegovina, known for their diverse and daring entries in the Eurovision Song Contest, are sending rock with Regina to Moscow. Three times winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980, 1987 and writer of 1992, Johnny Logan may represent Ireland once again for the fourth time in 2009.
In an article that appears in an Irish newspaper today, The Sunday Tribune, it reads that “Logan set to relight the flame for Eurovision.”
After disappointing results for Ireland in recent years, bar the odd exception, the Irish public broadcaster, RTÉ, are set to “be pulling out all the stops to get three-time Eurovision winner Logan (54) to sing at the 2009 show in Moscow.”

The BBC are reporting that Ireland’s EU treaty ‘No’ campaigners have recruited the country’s most famous turkey to help secure crucial votes in today’s Lisbon Treaty referendum.
Dustin the Turkey who represented Ireland at the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, crashed out of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest at the semi-final stage. Now he appears on posters with the slogan: “They didn’t vote for us. Get them back. Vote ‘No’ to Lisbon.”
The glove puppet’s song Irelande Douze Pointe received too few points from Europeans in the Belgrade contest. …

Breaking news from the Winner’s Tour! Moments ago, Dima Bilan departed from Dublin to Germany, instead of London, to perform on tonight’s Verstehen Sie Spaß, live from the Rothaus Arena in Freiburg.
Right after the show in Germany, Dima will fly to London by private plane, to appear on stage for the UK Eurovision Winner’s Party in London’s Scala venue.

Friday night, Eurovision Song Contest winner Dima Bilan performed on the Late Late Show in Ireland. The show, hosted by 1988 Eurovision Song Contest host Pat Kenny, is the longest running talk show in the world.
The entire show, the last of this television season, had a light flavour of Eurovision related topics. * Slovenya eksi Yugoslavya komşularından en çok oy alan ülke oldu, toplam 20 puan. Toplamda aldığı puanın yarısını buradan temin etmesine rağmen finale gidemedi.
