Malta will continue its search for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest tonight with the eighth and last semi final being held. Another seven acts will compete to be one of the 20 acts which are going to reach in the national final. The qualifiers for the national final will also be revealed in the show.

Tonight, Valerie Vella hosts the fifth Euro Showbox show in Malta in which seven new candidates try to qualify for the Maltese national final of Eurosong 2009. The seven candidates are Miriam Christine, Baklava, Ruth Portelli, J. Anvil, Corazon Mizzi, Rebecca Bonnici and Justine ft. Siconix.
