Ermenistan uzun bir aradan sonra sessizliğini bozdu ve ARMTV, 14 şubat cumartesi gecesi yapılacak final için adaylarını açıkladı.
Ermenistan bu yıl 4. kez katılacağı Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması için bugün kamuoyunu bilgilendirdi. Buna göre 14 şubat’da yapılacak final’de 21 aday yarışacak. Oylama juri ve sms ile gerçekleşecek.

One of the entries in the upcoming Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be sung by Danish-Icelandic singer Hera Björk. Hera Björk is a big star in her original home country Iceland and has previously tried her luck in the Icelandic preselection, and was one of the backing singers who joined Eurobandid on stage in the 2008 Eurovision in Belgrade. Hera, living in Copenhagen, will now perform the entry “Someday” in the Danish national final 2009, to be aired on January the 31st.

ERT is about to have a press conference on the national song selection on February 11. During the press conference we will hear the 3 songs with which Sakis Rouvas will ask the Greek viewers which one is the best for Moscow. The national selection is set for February 18 at the Athinon Arena Music Hall. The show will be hosted by the Maggira sisters. The three songs are in the process of finalise and there will be full choreography in all songs composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos.

RTP received till this morning 80 songs to the Portuguese selection to the Eurovision Song Contest. The songs are from all the music styles, including some “comics”. Among the artists is Nucha, Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 with “Há Sempre Alguém” (There’s always someone).
The deadline to submit songs is next Monday, January 12. Probably the number of submitted songs will double. Two days after, a jury of experts will select the 24 best songs. The jury will include the head of delegation José Poiares and the musicians …

Iceland will start their search for the song to represent the country in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow this Saturday. There will be four heats leading to two semi-finals and the final on February 14th. Two songs from each heat will go on to the semi-finals.

As previously reported by, FYR Macedonia will select its next Eurovision Song Contest entry on Saturday 21st February following two semi finals on Thursday 19th February and Friday 20th February. 16 songs will participate in each semi final and the top half will qualify for the final. Today, national broadcaster, MKRTV, have announced the 32 songs and composers that have reached the semi finals.

CHARLOTTE:
This 17-year-old has displayed a flair for performance from early childhood. By age 11 she and her family moved lock, stock and barrel back from Nottingham to Essex in order for her to attend Sylvia Young’s much-admired stage school. She earned her place with a combination of sheer talent and determination, plus over 500 letters to obtain both the grants and scholarship the family needed to see her through.
