54. Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması’nda Türkiye’yi temsil edecek Hadise, PBS televizyonunun davetlisi olarak bulunduğu Malta’da büyük ilgiyle karşılandı.

Malta televizyonunun canlı yayınında ilk kez böyle bir olay yaşandığını anlatan yetkililer, Hadise’nin Malta’ya gelmesinin adaya renk kattığını söyledi.

Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması’nda Türkiye’yi temsil edecek Hadise, PBS televizyonunun davetlisi olarak ilk defa geldiği Malta’yı gezdi. Malta’yı Eurovision’da temsil edecek grubun belirleneceği final yarışmasına misafir olarak katılan ve canlı televizyon yayınında “Düm Tek Tek” isimli şarkısını söyleyecek sanatçı provalar sonrasında kenti gezdi. Hadise, babasıyla birlikte yanına gelen 4 yaşındaki Gaig adlı Maltalı çocukla “Düm Tek Tek” şarkısını söyleyerek dans etti. Ünlü şarkıcı, küçük çocuğun Türkçe “Ben seni çok seviyorum” demesi üzerine duygulandı.

Hadise in the Greek song selection?

There are some information circulating these days that ERT and Hadise are negotiating the appearance of the Turkish entrant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. So far there is no confirmation if ERT and Hadise reached an agreement. Sources close to the Greek broadcaster told oikotimes.com exclusively that there is a plan to have Hadise as a guest in the national selection. So far the schedule of Hadise is not allowing her to visit Athens. On the other hand the Greek Eurofans wonder why the broadcaster is about to invite an artist who’s not in the same semifinal with Greece as the previous year, the concept was to invite the immediate semifinalists.

Turkey: public believe in possible Eurovision win

Turkey’s national broadcaster, TRT, has opened a poll for the country to assess the Turkish entry for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. And the results shows that people of Turkey have strong support for the song that was revealed on New Year’s night.

The song has 2 names “Crazy for you” in English and “Düm tek tek” in Turkish. Düm tek tek is Semai rhytmic pattern of Turkish music which is similar to vals in western music. The lyricists of the song are Hadise and Stefan Fernande , composer is Sinan Akçıl.

Armenian to join Eurovision Song Contest with horrible unprofessional strategic “genocide” song

Turkish opposition demands to tackle Armenian to join Eurovision contest with so-called “genocide” song

Armenian-American rock band “System of a Down” will join the Eurovision 2009 Song Contest in Moscow in May. Turkish opposition concerns about this decision, APA reports quoting the Turkish news agencies. Member of the Parliament from the Republican People’s Party (CHP) Akif Ekici addressed Prime Minister Receb Tayib Erdogan reminding that this group is going to perform a song about the so-called “Armenian genocide”. “This group prints in its concert tickets “No entry for dogs and Turks”. Their song “Holy Mountains” offends the Turkish people and their leader Ataturk”. The lawmaker asked the Prime Minister what measures would be taken for prevention of this group to join the Eurovision contest with this song. “Were Armenia and European Broadcasting Union addressed on this issue? What will happen if this group wins the contest with its song on so-called “genocide”? Would the world recognize “genocide” in this case, it wouldn’t?”

The Eurovision bans to perform political songs, but tactful performers can make political messages through different subtleties.

Hadise entirely in charge of Eurovision entry

Today, the Turkish broadcaster announced that Hadise may decide the lyricist, composer, arranger and the language of song which will represent the country in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest herself.

TRT officially confirms, today, through their web site that Hadise will represent Turkey in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. The singer herself is calling all the shots by given cart blanche to choose the creators of the song as well as the language she will sing in.

The language of the song for the Eurovision Song Contest is always a much debated question in Turkey. Many people defend that if Turkey competes then it must be with a song in Turkish. But many also think that English could provide higher points in the contest.

After the language rule was abolished in 1999, Turkey competed in Turkish 3 times, English 3 times and Turkish-English 4 times, achieving its highest place in 2003 when Sertab Erener won with Everyway that I can.

Hadise made her first appearance on the TRT evening news tonight where she spoke about her immediate plans. On a telephone interview, the popular Turkish singer confirmed the rumours that she had indeed been approached by the Belgian broadcaster twice in the past two years who wished to send her to the Eurovision Song Contest. Hadise stated she was honoured but refused as she was hoping to represent her homeland, Turkey, one day. Soon, she will be visiting Istanbul to meet her team and togetherthey wil decide on the song. She is also planning to write some lyrics herself as she believes she has a talent she wants to show the world.
